The first bundle comes with a Do that to break through the ice and proceed into your next location — Summerfalls Village. Make your way across the screen until you come to a lit cabin that you can enter. When in the cabin make you way to the far right side to pick up another Melodia idol 2 before speaking to Smith.
He'll reveal that he knows your mother and is concerned for her safety. He knows she was headed for Melodia city, and he marks it on your map. He gives you a device for lighting beacons, which will help you on your way. Getting to Melodia City As you leave Smith's hut you see your first beacon, which you can light. Then use slipstream to light the torch on the wall and burn the vines.
From now on, whenever you see something you can set alight, do so. Make your way up as high as you can go and collect another journal page 1.
Then make you way right and use slipstream to melt the ice, allowing to proceed to The Falls. Here you briefly see one of the snow monsters Smith mentioned, but it runs away. Make your way up the screen, sticking to the left side as much as possible. To run into a couple of glorbs on the way up — just gust them into the floor to kill them. When you get to the top make your way left and pick up another journal page 2 and the Melodia idol 3. Then head back right into Summerfalls Ravine. Gust the mushrooms to make your way up to the top of the screen, burning barriers as you go.
When at the top, collect the Melodia idol 4 , then melt the ice and head to the right. As you go up collect another journal page 3 , then burn the vines and head right, onto The Great Bridge. Pick up the Melodia idol 5 , then come across some fire glorbs.
The game gives a method for killing these, but the easiest way which works with all glorbs is to gust them up, vortex them, then gust them into a surface. Pick up another journal page 4 , then move onto the City Entrance. It's much too high, and is frozen over anyway, so head back across the bridge. As you do so, a flying purple creature which you saw earlier pushes you off.
You are found by snow monsters, which turn out to be Oloua villagers. They take you to Akumo's Cave. Akumo is their leader, and he has your mom with him!
Unfortunately, she's been cursed by the creature you met, who is called Riveren remember — the little kid from the prologue who picked up that strange object. Akumo suggests that Sonte may know of a way for you to get into the city and lift the curse. He shows you where on the map to go. Before leaving the cave, pick up the coat he offers you to keep warm, and the Melodia idol 6 on the far left.
Awakening Sonte Exit right into the Oloua Village. Make your way across the top of the screen until you come the a glorb pool. Light the fire with gust and slipstream it to destroy the pool. Carry on across the top of the screen into Oloua Glen.
The door shuts and won't open until you've destroyed all the glorb pools in the same way you destroyed the one in the village. Pick up the Melodia idol 7 in the top left, then exit back to the village.
Follow the path down, picking up the Melodia idol on the ledge 8 as you go. Exit left to Crystal Cavern. As you enter there is a Melodia idol 9 on a ledge to your right. Drop down and vortex a snowball onto the switch to open the door. Make your way along and slipstream the fire onto the vines and drop down. Vortex a snowball to break the ice and go as far right as you can. Pull the switch, which opens a hatch. You can then vortex an snowball onto the ice protecting another switch and pull that one too.
Make your way through the door it opens and go around to pick up a journal page 9 and pull a switch, which opens another hatch. With that hatch open you can vortex a snowball onto the last switch to open a door which leads to Echo Cavern. Make you way to the locked door and vortex a snowball onto the switch to open it. Break the ice with a snowball and continue around, doing that a couple more times. Now you can vortex a snowball onto another switch, which briefly lights the lantern you passed.
Use the lantern to light the torch above the first switch, and to burn the vines. Collect the Melodia idol 10 behind the vines, and gust the stone onto the first switch now the flame is lit you can't create a snowball.
Light the torch, then use it to melt the ice. Follow the path around and use the fire glorbs to burn the vines blocking the way back to the falls. Make your way across the falls, then head down and across a bridge. As you cross the bridge you'll see an idol, but we can't get to that yet, so ignore it and continue right to Green Lake.
Pick up another journal page 10 , then light the beacon so you can burn through the vines. Carry on right, avoiding a new enemy with pincers that comes from the ground.
You can either ignore him or kill him by slipstreaming fire from the fire glorbs onto him when he comes out of the ground. Carry on right, picking up the Melodia idol 11 by the door, then go up and vortex a snowball onto the switch to open it. Head through it, and into Sonte's Cave. Move right and pick up the Melodia idol 12 by the bell, then hit the bell with a snowball.
This wakes Sonte, who is a bear! It also breaks the bell though, and Sonte says we're going to need that to summon her when we need to change the season. Our next task then, is to fix the bell. To give us some help she changes everything to summer, but says we need to be quick, as Riveren's poison works quicker when it's hot. Fixing the Bell Head back to Green Lake. You won't be able to go the way you came, so make your way above the door using fire to burn your way through. You then come across a Kalarab a glorb covered in rocks.
Just vortex him onto the floor to get rid of the rocks, then kill as normal. Head down to the lake, then dive to the bottom to pick up a Melodia idol Pick up the plant and use it to slipstream to the top of the screen. Make your way left and back into The Falls. Head down and to the left. When you get to the pool the falls go to, dive in to pick up a Melodia idol Drop down and head left and through an open trap door.
Go right passing some crabs to find a ring switch, pull on it to close the hatch and open a door and then head up the ledges. Go back to the left, through the door and jump into the water to find statue 34 Use cyclone to move the water to the furthest pool on the right near the fruit you planted and use the water to make the plant grow. Pluck the plant with Z and use it to reach a ledge high up to the left to find statue 35, stay high and head all the way to the left to find statue 36 on a ledge If you do not make it you can use cyclone from the bottom to reach it.
Drop down, Use the save point on the right then continue left and cyclone through the rocks, eat the fruit on the left if you like, then head down the gap and go left, through the tunnel into Lower Melodia City.
There is a switch in front of you, sweep across it right to left to move a bridge. Go over to the bridge and walk up. Go up the ledges, then to the right till you see a pool of water, dive down and use the switch you moved before to move the bridge back to its original position. There is a ball on the right of you, take it with you back to the bridge. Head down the bridge to the left, taking the ball with you. Go down the next moveable bridge and continue left with the ball till you reach some ledges in the wall.
Make the ball sing using vortex and keep drawing vortex so that you can get up the ledges with ease. At the top you will find another switch, sweep it from left to right, to move the bridge you just walked across. Take the ball with you over to the right and under the bridge. Sweep the ball up onto the ledge on the left using the flower , up the bridge and onto the switch. A door willopen so head back there. Use the flame to burn the thorns and drop down to find another pool and statue There is a Glarb on the left, lure him into the water to destroy him then go back to the right.
Burn the flower you Used earlier and gather the seed. Pull down onto the cloud to release the water and the sprout will grow. Drop down and find statue 38 in the pool of water then head left to find a chest containing the umbrella cape. You can now head back to the falls if you like to collect statue 39 and 40 on the way. Go left and drop down the gap, continue left into Summerfalls Ravine and jump into the water and swim down to find statue Continue left, passed the mushroom and into The Falls then all the way down and left into Summerfalls village.
Head to the Villager who wanted you to find the fruits. You will see to the right of the net there is a thorny gate.
I tried to burn it with the flame below but couldn't, so what you do is this. Go to the villager a little to the right and walk to the end of the ledge. From here, jump down and press Z to use the umbrella to glide down to the other side of the thorns and pick up statue Walk up the slope, burn the icicles with the flame and continue left though the tunnel into Echo Cavern.
Keep going left, save at the save point and go up the ledges and keep going left. You will come out behind a locked door, use the snow falling on the other side of the door to weigh down the switch, keep heading left then bounce on the drum to get up and continue up and left. Go through the tunnel which takes you back into Oloua Village and again continue up and left until you enter Akumo's Cave where you will find scroll 12 and start another cut scene.
Now you have another destination, head back out of the cave and save. Before moving on, go back to the left, just before the cave entrance and use cyclone to reach a ledge above and statue 41 -- x The King Statues Go right, up the drum and continue staying high and over to the far right. Enter the tunnel into Oloua glen and continue right until you come some rocks that you can break through.
Do so and drop down to find statue 42 on the left. Continue to the right passing through a small tunnel into Resting Place and then use a snowball to smash the icicles.
Continue right until you find some more breakable rocks, break them and drop down. Here you find something at the bottom, you cannot do anything with it yet so head left using a snowball to break more icicles. Now you have a little friend and a new position to head for on the map. Go back to the left where you found the mask and he will follow you, draw a circle around him to make him sing and the torches above will light, use these to break down the ice door on the left and quickly light the torch on the right.
Head back left and pull the ring switch, this opens the door behind the ice on the right so go over there and burn down the ice using the torch you just lit. Continue through the open door to the right. When both of you are stood on the platform make the little guy sing and the platform will rise.
Jump up to the left and then up again to find Statue Jump back down and get the king to sit on the switch by pressing A and sweeping down over him. Then go over and stand on the switch on the right. This will make a door open. Sweep up on the king to stand him up and he will follow you again, go right and through the door into Mountain Pass. Go and go down to find a switch, make the king sit on it and kill the water glorbs.
Go back to the king and stand on the switch. Direct him through the door by pressing B and drawing a line to the platform. Make him sing so that the platform will rise with him on it. Go left and up the platforms then you will see the king again on the right. Direct him to the switch using B. This will cause the hatch above you to open and drop down some fire glorbs. Use cyclone to get up through the hatch and go right until you see some glorbs. Kill them or throw them out of the way and look down to see the king.
Direct the king off the switch and over to the right and make him sing to open the door. Continue right and use a snowball to break the icicles and the king can join you once more. Go left to collect statue 44 that was by the switch, then head back right, save and continue to the right into Summerfalls Pass. Use the flame to burn the icicles, continue right and sit the king on the ledge in the middle of the water. Continue right alone killing the pincer enemy with the fire along the way and use the bear statue to change the season back to summer.
Jump into the water and go and get the king. Get him to follow you back over to the right underwater to the bear statue and continue right into Summerfalls Ravine. Break the bridge by smashing a glorb down onto it and continue right, burn the thorns with the fire below and drop down again. Make sure the king is not in the water and use the bear to change the season to winter again.
Take the king right over the ice to find a door, killing the fire glorbs on the way to keep the king safe, make the king sing and the door will open. Go through the door and continue right into the Great Bridge. Keep heading right until you come to a platform. Make sure you are both stood on it and then make the king sing to raise the platform. Move the king off the platform then sit him down. Head up to the platform on the left and change the season back to summer at the bear statue.
Go back right and passed the king to and empty pool and a full pool further on the right. Wake the king and take him over the ice to the right.
Sit the king down again by the ice wall and go back to the bear and change the season back to summer! Go back to the king and make him sing to open the door and find statue You have reached your desination!
Continue left and then go up the moveable bridge to the platform at the end. Make the king sing to raise the platform. Continue right and door will close behind you. Get the king to sing by the statue whilst defending him against the glorbs being flung.
When the statue starts singing Riveren will not like the noise and moves off to the right, so follow him using the king to drop and raise the platforms. Continue right until you get to the palace entrance and press Z to enter.
